Obituary of John David Livingstone

Livingstone, John Suddenly at the Hamilton General on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Taken from us far too soon, one day after his 58th birthday. Beloved husband of 34 years to Greta Livingstone (Kooistra). Loving father of Beth and Ryan Brens; Kate and Christina Livingstone; Bill Livingstone. Proud grandpa of Ella Brens. He will be dearly missed by his aunt Doris Johnston, and his sidekick "Daisy Doggin". John was a loving and devoted family man who will be greatly missed by everyone who had the chance to know him. John was an avid fisherman, sports fan and member of the St. Catharines Game and Fish. John worked at the L.C.B.O. for 30 years and retired in 2001. In retirement he worked as a crossing guard, coached hockey, loved to travel and spend summers at the Lake. John's family will receive friends at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 205 Linwell Rd. on Wednesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to ACO-Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (St. Catharines Branch)
