CZAJKOWSKI, Steve "Papa Polski"
It is with great sadness that the Czajkowski family announces the sudden passing of Steve on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 69. Beloved husband and best friend for 48 years to Eileen. Loving father of Lori Ann Govani and Victor (Maureen). Proud Grandpa of Natasha, Troy and Alexander. Dear brother of Al, John, Chester (Nellie), Irene and Stella. Steve is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Gene, sisters in law Marina and Mary, brothers in law George, John, Louie, son in law Alnoor, and by his parents Paul and Zofia. Steve worked at General Motors in St. Catharines for 31 years retiring in 1996. He enjoyed playing Crib and Bowling with his wife and friends. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their special care. In accordance with Steve's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Steve's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
