Obituary of James McDonald Berry
BERRY,James McDonald - Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25th, 2011 in his 87th year surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Carmen (Brazeau). Devoted and loving father of Robert (Donna), Brian (Diane), Elizabeth (Mike Haines) and Michael all of the Niagara Region. Dear Papa to Jennifer, Brandon, Joshua, Ashley, Christopher, Sarah and Victoria. Jim will be sadly missed by his brother Lloyd (Donna) of Harrison, Michigan, sister in law Marion Berry of Newmarket, brother in law Gerry ( Gail) Brazeau of St. Catharines, brother in law Roger Brazeau of Stittsville, Ontario, sister in law Joan Brazeau of St. St. Catharines, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Wilfred, Lorne, Arthur (Phyllis), sister in law Fern Brazeau and brother in law Eugene Brazeau. Jim was a truck driver with Overland Express for 35 years. He was an avid Detroit Red Wing and John Wayne fan.The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Extendicare and Dr.Jack Luce for all their kindness and compassion. Mr. Berry is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Jim's Life will take place on Tuesday at 11a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Niagara Chapters of Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
