Obituary of Mildred A. Gibb
Gibb, Mildred Agatha - Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the St. Catharines General Hospital NHS on Friday July 11, 2008 at the age of 82. Beloved mother of the late Evelyn (1969), Frank (Danielle), Suzanne, Mary (Greg) Hulse, Rita (John) Bonnetta, Peter (Jannette), Kathryn (Geoff) Morgan, Martin, Margaret (Alan Millar) and Elizabeth. She will be sadly missed by her 18 grandchildren and fondly remembered by her sister Rita Davies. Mildred was a cherished aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 4 sisters and 8 brothers. Mildred was a member of the Catholic Church, devoting a lifetime of service to her faith community. She was a dedicated organist and soloist throughout many parishes. An active member in her community, Mildred started volunteering with the Federal Liberal party and continued with such organizations such as Right to Life and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Sunday July 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from Star of the Sea Church on Monday July 14 at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. If so desired, donations made to St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Juvenile Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
