Obituary of Christopher Joseph Doherty

DOHERTY, Christopher Unexpectedly while camping with his family on August 1st at the age of 49. Much loved husband of 21 years to Val and cherished father to Megan, Ryan and Mackenzie. Also survived by his sister Sharon, his brothers Peter and Tom (Myriam) and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Joan. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Gordon and Susan Shaw and their family for all their love and support during this very difficult time. Christopher's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Tuesday, August 5th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 316 Queenston Street on Wednesday, August 6th at 10am . Rite of Committal to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers for Christopher will be recited in the funeral home Tuesday at 7pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Ontario Special Olympics would be appreciated by the family.
