Obituary of Giuseppe Pietro Panici

Panici, Giuseppe - On August 3, 2008 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Bruna (2008) for over 63 years. Loving father of Venerino (Suzanne) and Georgio (Esmeralda). Devoted Nonno of Kelvyn, Elyse, Larissa and Karlene. Cherished brother of Bruno, the late Albino of Italy, Maria and Ebe. Giuseppe was very involved in the up keep of the church and he was an active parishioner at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. He was very passionate about his family, family life, friends, his flower and vegetable garden, as well as making wine. He was involved with Club Roma, in the later years with the Seniors Group, also a member of the Combitanti. Mr. Panici is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street until Friday at 10:30am. Visiting hours are Thursday, August 7, between 2-4 & 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Thursday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Friday, August 8, at 11 am. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
