Obituary of Fergus MacNally
MacNally, Fergus Joseph Anthony- Suddenly passed away after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis, which he dealt with on Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, in his 65th year. Loving and devoted father to Ruth (Josh) and Alan. Proud and loving grandfather to Thomas. Dear brother of Desmond, Kevin, Patrick (Vanessa) and Maura (Dick) Moore. Good friend to Wilma. Fergus will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Aeneas and Rita MacNally, his sister Eire (2006) and his brother Gabe (2008). Fergus was an intelligent gentleman who earned several Degrees from York University and a Law Degree from the University of Toronto. He spent the past several years at Deer Park Villa in Grimsby, where he was lovingly cared for by the staff and became good friends with many. Fergus struggled, but he dealt with his illness with dignity, faith and humour. He will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. Mr. MacNally is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., where a public visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Star of the Sea Church at 1 p.m.. Cremation to follow service. If desired, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society will be appreciated by Fergus' family.
