Obituary of Gerardo Iannacchino
Iannacchino, Gerardo - Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2008 with his loving family by his side in his 75th year.
Beloved husband of Rosa for 54 years. Loving father of Michelle (Bob) Raymond, Gaetana (Bob) Murphy, Josie (Virgil) Perrella and Sam. Cherished Nonno of Grace (Kris) Cheshire, Krysta, Cassandra, Chris, Greg and the sparkle of his eye, his great grandson Landon. Survived by his brother and sisters Antonio (Antonietta), Lucia (Francesco) Gentile and Rocchina Castelano. Also survived by his brothers in law Angelo Cassarella and Angelo Della Manna and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Vincenza and Caterina. Will be sadly missed by his best friend David Stares. Gerardo was a talented carpenter that loved working in his workshop. He was always ready and willing to do any projects his children asked of him, and always enjoyed a glass of wine with his family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until 9am on Tuesday. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm and Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will take place in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Tuesday at 9:30am. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be to Princess Margaret Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
