Obituary of Fernando D'Intino
D'Intino, Fernando - Passed away suddenly and peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Thursday March 17, 2011 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Lucy of 43 years. Devoted father of Fred (Lori), Michelle (Rob) Alexander and Denny D'Intino. Adored son of Cesira and the late Emilio. Cherished Taton of Nicholas, Talia, Tristan and Cohen. Brother of Gabriella (Cesare), Guilio (Pat) and Elvira (Vic). Predeceased by his best friend and brother-in-law, Marcel. Fred will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was a devoted employee of Ferranti Packard for 40 years, and was a member of Niagara Hunting and Fishing club, and Club Roma. After his retirement, he lived for his grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their sporting events. Dad enjoyed many summers with mom in their garden, socializing with his long time neighbours. He spent many days wood cutting and ATV riding on the Wainfleet Farm. He will always be remembered for his two and a half hour lunches with his homemade pasta and glass of red wine. Family functions will not be the same without Fred dancing surrounded by his circle of dance partners. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday March 20th from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 3:30 on Sunday in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Monday at 11 a.m. with entombment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
