Obituary of Loriena Cornelius

Cornelius, Loriena "Rene" - Peacefully on Tuesday September 19, 2006 at the Tufford Manor in her 92nd year. Wife of the late Robert Burton Cornelius (1974). Step-mother to Bob (Barbara) and proud grandmother of Dr. Robert Cornelius. Survived by her nephew Bob Adams (Lilias) of Vineland and niece Laura Flight. Predeceased by her sister Enid Adams (1992). Loriena was born in St. Catharines January 19, 1915. She had served in the Red Cross Auxillary during WWII and worked at Levitt's China Shop as a buyer and salesperson for 30 years. That career was followed by 18 years at the Bible Book Nook. She was a devoted and Life Time member of the Memorial United Church. The famiy would like to thank the kind and caring staff at Tufford Manor and Dr. Wakil for his compassionate care. At her request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. There will be a memorial service for Loriena at Memorial United Church on Friday September 22 at 11am (105 Maple St. - corner of Niagara St.). Memorial donations may be made to the Memorial United Church or Charity of One's Choice in Loriena's honour.
