Obituary of Robert Turnbull
Turnbull, Robert John - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on March 12, 2011 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver in his 89th year and now in the arms of his Lord. Loving and devoted husband to Dina for 64 years. Predeceased by his son Robert Jr. (2010). Will be fondly remembered by his son David (Marcelle) and daughter in law Lynn. Cherished Opa of Claudette (Henny), Roberta (Jason), Paul (Alison) and Ian (Clemen). Great Opa to Michaela, Shannon, Naomi, Ruby, Maggie and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland.
Bob served in WWII overseas in Sicily, Italy, Holland and Germany. Dad was a employee of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Bob was a long time member of Bethany Community Church. Dad enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays.

Memorial service for Robert will take place at Bethany Community Church, 1388 Third Street, St. Catharines, 905-937-5300 on Friday at 1:30pm . Visiting will take place from 12-1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethany Community Church or United Way. Arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 905-937-4444.
