LAWRENCE, Margery
Passed peacefully at Tufford Nursing Home on Thursday, September 21st, 2006 in her 96th year.
Predeceased by her husband David Arthur (1963), her son Donald John (1952) and her brother George Simons (1973). Loving mother of David (Margaret), Jean (the late Walter) Burrows, Kathryn (Eugene) Chajka and John (Margaret). Beloved grandmother of Mark, Valerie, Julie, Walter, John, Heather, Gary, Daniel, Stephen, Bryan, Teri and Amanda. Much loved great grandmother to 10.
Margery graduated from Victoria College of the University of Toronto in 1933 and volunteered for many years at the Shaver Hospital and The Associated Charities. She was an avid sports fan and a member of the Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club and the St. Paul Street United Church.
Margery's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Friday, September 22nd from 7-9pm. A private family funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 23rd in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the Make a Wish Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Tufford Nursing Home and Dr. R. C. Rose for their compassion and support through this difficult time.
