Obituary of Eire Elizabeth MacNally-Hanson

MacNALLY- HANSON, Eire After a courageous and hard fought battle, and while surrounded by her loving family, Eire passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 27th at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS at the age of 48. Cherished wife to Richard Hanson, devoted mother to Desmond and Sean Carter and loving stepmother to Kimberly and Jennifer Hanson. Beloved sister to Fergus, Desmond and Gabe (Rose) MacNally, Maura (Dick) Moore, and Kevin and Patrick (Vanessa) MacNally. Also survived by her many nieces, nephew and friends. She will be forever missed by her faithful dog "Gizmo". Predeceased by her parents Aeneas (1986) and Rita (2004) MacNally. Eire was a truly loving and compassionate person who always put the needs and feelings of others before herself. She will be truly missed. Eire's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, September 29th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers in the funeral home on Friday at 3pm . Funeral Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria, 67 Church Street on Saturday, September 30th at 9am. Cremation to follow with an inurnment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Out of the Cold Program-St. Catharines would be appreciated by the family.
