Obituary of Walter George Luszczyk

WALTER LUSZCZYK - Passed away suddenly at home on Friday, October 27, 2006 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Julia (2004). Loving Dad to Joseph (Barbara) Luszcsyk, Irene (Wayne) Quinn, Marlene (James) Paterson and Reneta (Anthony) Lamers. Dziadek will be lovingly missed and always remembered by his grandchildren Nathan (Anne Marie) Quinn, Shannon (Paul) Quinn-Losier, Dr. Myles (Niki) Luszczyk, Adriana Luszczyk and Rhys Paterson. He was ecstatic to have held his great-grandchild Isabella and just the mention of her name, brought tears of joy to his eyes. We are proud to have been part of his life, a wonderful dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. Many wonderful memories were made, ones that we will cherish and treasure forever. Walter served in World War 11 with the Polish Army and was stationed in Monte Cassino, Italy. He retired in 1982 after 32 years from General Motors. Following Walter's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends for a Celebration of his life at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. Private family interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maternal Child Unit, St. Catharines General Hospital would be appreciated by the family. "We follow a pathway that has no end as we travel through life day after day, together with those who are dear to our hearts and are there by our side come what may, but sometimes a loved one must travel ahead for reasons that aren't always clear, and we are left behind to continue along missing one who is no longer here, and while it may seem that the pathway has stopped, it merely has rounded a bend, and our loved one goes on to a much brighter place, down the pathway that has no end" 'Til we meet again Dad'
