Obituary of Stan Oakes

OAKES Stanley - Peacefully with his wife Helen of 36 years by his side on Wednesday November 29, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Loving step-father of Vicky Nelson (Ian) of Jordan and Valerie Kerr (Randy) of Dorchester. Father of Garth, Brian, Gary and Susan Oakes. Devoted Grampa and Great-Grampa. Survived by his 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Stanley's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL 585 Carlton Street, (St. Catharines) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service to celebrate Stan's life will take place on Friday December 1 at 11am in the chapel. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital would be appreciated by the family in Stan's honour.
