BIRMINGHAM, Andrew Kenneth-
Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on Monday, March 7, 2011 after recently celebrating his 60th birthday with family and close friends. Dearly loved husband of Joanne (nee Duckett), loving father of three devoted daughters, Krystle (Drew) Etherington, Deanna (fiance Nathan Teal), Kate and loyal four-legged companion Rusty. Cherished son of Lorraine (the late Andrew), thoughtful brother to Carolyn (Bill) Myers, Wayne (Carol) Birmingham, Tanya (Scott) Currie and Lorraine (Drew) Wilson. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law Les (Cindy) Duckett and Barry Duckett. Held close in the hearts of nieces and nephews; Alison (Leandro) Gomez, Colleen Myers (John Szucs), Jennifer (Aaron) Tomlin; Ryan, Meridith, and Stephanie Birmingham; Brandon Currie, Dawn Currie (Ross Tufford), Mallory (Vince) Lepaine; Drew and Sarah Wilson; Kim Trenholme and Jeff (Dianne) Duckett. Great uncle to 11 great nieces and nephews. Fun loving cousin and friends to many.
Dedicated employee of General Motors for 33 years, retiring January 1, 2009. The family expresses many thanks to St. Elizabeth nurses Sharlene and Amanda for their compassionate care.
Andrew's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, March10th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy without Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 11th in the funeral home chapel at 11am. Entombment to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Rankin Cancer Run or Tender Wishes Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
