Died unexpectedly at home in Richmond Hill, on Saturday December 2, 2006 due to complications of diabetes at age 34. Loving father of Daniel age 7 and Megan age 4. Beloved son of Mavis Griffiths of Dollard des Ormeaux, and Donald and Helen Griffiths of Cornwall. Loving brother of Grant (Tammy), Deborah and Pam. Dear uncle to Jesse, Jennifer, Lauren, Evan, Brittany, Gabriel and Anthony. He will be sadly missed by Daniel and Megan's mom Fran and many relatives and friends. Doug worked in sales for the Quebecor Printing Firm in Richmond Hill for 10 years before recently being hired by the Boehmer Box Company in Kitchener where he still worked in sales. Doug's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street Saturday 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at the Church Of The Transfiguration - 320 Glenridge Ave. St. Catharines on Sunday December 10, 2006 at 2 pm. Visitation 1-2pm. Cremation to follow. If desired the family will accept donations to be placed in trust for Douglas' children Daniel and Megan Baranek (Griffiths) or to the Diabetic Research Foundation.
