Obituary of Nicholas Lech

LECH, Nicholas Passed away peacefully on December 15th at the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Rehab in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Jean and devoted father of Gerald (Gayle), the late Leonard (Dolores), Virginia (Al) MacLeod, Sharon (Cash) Banas and Cynthia McCollick. Much loved grandfather of Christopher, Leonard, Brittany, Courtney, David, Shelby, Candace, Victoria, Brandon and Robin and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister in law Mary Batuik. He worked at General Motors as a Millwright for 37 years. He was also a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.K. and Europe. Nicholas's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, on Sunday, December 17th from 7-9pm. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 18th at 11am. Cremation will follow. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
