Obituary of Mary Inez Consuelo Sadiwskyj
Sadiwskyj, Mary
Peacefully, on Wednesday January 3, 2007, Mary Sadiwskyj lost her long battle with Alzheimers. She was 78. Mary grew up in England, came to Toronto in1966 and worked in purchasing at The Bay for several years. After retirement, Mary and her husband Wasyl (Dec. 1997) settled in St. Catharines. A devoted wife and caring mother, Mary had strong values. She had a sharp mind and a clever wit, loved Scrabble, had a knack for poetry and music, as well as a deep appreciation for nature and animals. She leaves behind her daughter Lena, brothers John and Ken Smith, sister-in-law Louise Sadiwskyj, niece Angela Miller and extended family in England. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. A Celebration of Life for Mary will be held in the chapel at 10 a.m. with cremation to follow. Many thanks to the professionals at Linhaven for their caring work over the past 8 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to Linhaven Home for the Aged, 403 Ontario Street, St. Catharines, Ontario L2N 1L5.
