Obituary of Jan Szymczyk

Szymczyk John Passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, on Saturday January 13, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 94 years young. Beloved husband of the late Efrieda (1985). Loving father of Irene (Larry) Lisoy, Jane (Dennis) Dyck, Peter (Pam) Szymczyk, Terry (Peter) McDougall and Wolf (Karen) Lamping . John will live on in the hearts of his 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother in Poland . Predeceased by his step son Hubert Lamping. John's love of music, woodworking and gardening will be treasured by his family. John is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St until Wednesday at 8:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 9am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
