Obituary of George Campbell
Campbell, George (Scotty) Passed away peacefully, on Friday, March 4th, 2011 at Linhaven Home, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Ina for 60 years. Loving father of Brian and Lori, David and Cathy, Ken and Louanne. Dearest grandpa of Sarah (Greg), Patrick (Ashley), Allison, Jeffrey, Courtney, Scott (Hattie) and Timothy. Great grandpa of Brock, John and Elijah. Dear brother of William (Georgina) Campbell. Predeceased by his sister Jessie Ciesla.
Mr. Campbell was a proud employee of General Motors of Canada for 44 years retiring in 1985. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy and was a life long member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24. Past President and lifetime member of the St. Catharines Rowing Alumni Assoc., Founding Partner, President and life time member of the General Motors Retired Salaried Employees Assoc.
Mr. Campbell is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. where family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations made to the St Catharines Rowing Club or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
