Obituary of Pasqualina DiPietro

DiPietro, Pasqualina - Passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side at 80 years of age on Friday March 9, 2007 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Dearly beloved wife of Pasquale DiPietro for 61 years. Loving mother to Guiseppina Gentile (Claudio), Sandra Gallicchio (Gerry), Angela Petriello (Joe) of New York and Peter DiPietro (Gina) of St. Catharines. Predeceased by her daughter Cristina and brother Raffaele DiPietro. Also survived by sister Alessandra Montemarano (Salvatore), sister-in-law Antonia DiPietro and brother-in-law Angelo DiPietro of Italy. Beloved Nonna to Benny Gallicchio, Lina Milana (George), Angela Fonzo (Gaetano), Luisella Baiocco (Rob), Jen Arsenault (Randy), Frank Gentile, Patrizia and Sandrina. Great-grandmother to Hailey, Alyssa, Lucas and Adam. She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to doctors and nurses and hospitality staff of the St. Catharines General Hospital for their compassion and support through this difficult time."We have been blessed to have you in our lives and you will be in our hearts forever."Pasqualina is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until 9am on Monday. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street at 9:30am. Interment will follow the church service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 3pm. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to either the Kidney Foundation or the St. Catharines General Hospital Cancer Care Centre in Pasqualina's honour.
