Linda,
My prayers are with you. Bill was so much fun in the dialysis unit,...we've had alot of laughs over the years. He is one of the patients I really missed talking to when I transferred back to Watline. The unit will never be the same, and I will treasure all the memories. I will miss him alot.

Dear Linda,
I am so sorry Bill is not with us anymore. I have known him since he started dialysis nearly 10 years ago and he became one of our family. I remember especially when his father died and how sad he was. He had so much feeling. He talked about you a lot Linda and you could tell how much he loved you ("What's for dinner Linda?" "Whoever's delivering!") Many of us nurses will admit that he was someone we treated "extra special". Over the years he told me a lot of stories about Michigan (I worked in Lansing for a short while) and the people he knew there. He was the best person for telling a story-always laughing. On Monday morning as I was getting ready for work, I had an urge to wear my "Spartans" sweatshirt-I didn't know that Bill was already gone. I will always think very fondly of Bill and will miss him dearly. Things will not be the same in our unit. We have lost a friend. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers and hope that you find much strenghth in family and friends to make it
through this difficult time. Take care and God Bless.
Sadly and Sincerely,
Cindy Wood

My deepest sympathies Linda. It was a pleasure to have had Bill as one of our renal family. He lived life on his terms and despite this debilitating disease he made the most of it. I will miss his story telling and sense of humour.
Take care Linda.
Sincerely, Marilyn Peaks

Linda, I do not have the words to express how deeply saddened I am to hear about Bill's unexpected passing. I loved listening to the stories he used to tell me about you guys back in the day! It never mattered how busy I was, I always seemed to find the time to go to Second Cup, not Tim Hortons to get him his cup of coffee. I will miss seeing both you and Bill on his dialysis days, as you have both become a part of the Renal family. My thoughts and prayers are with you Linda.
Sincerely, Traci Folkins

Linda,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know you found strength in your relationship. Know that my thoughts are with you. When my Mom passed I found comfort in the following:
When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Hold on to that.

Dear Linda
I was shocked to hear this news when I went to 3B to see Bill. I hope God gives you the strength to bear this loss. Rest assured that I am praying for you. Take care of yourself. The good thing is that Bill's suffering came to an end. He is in a better place. Take care Linda, & if there's anything I can do pls call.
I tried leaving a message on your home phone the next day but was unable.
Bill was such a pleasant man with a great sense of humour. We got on well while he was on dialysis esp when he was at Watline. I have good memories of him.
Anyway take care & please accept our heartfelt sympathies.

Dear Linda, it is with great sadness that Lori and I heard the news of Bill's passing. We were extremely disappointed that he heard too late to attend the remembrance service held earlier today.
Rest assured you are in our prayers. We hope to speak to you next week.
Thinking of you in this time of sadness.
Kelly & Lori VanderPloeg
