Obituary of Edward Hodgson Simpson
SIMPSON EDWARD ( WWII )After a brief illness, on Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 with his two sons by his side, at the St.Catharines General Hospital, at the age of 83. Loving husband of Kathleen for 58 years. Dear father of Mike, Jim and his wife Trish Simpson. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Kimberly, Jennifer, James and Joshua. Dear brother-in-law of Shirley and Bruce Wagner, Helen and Bruce Muirhead and Marlene Ruth. Uncle of Debbie, Karen and Mark. Also remembered by Bill and Doris Gibbins. Edward was a longtime member of the Grantham Optimist Club, coaching soft ball for many years and active with the registration. He was a longtime member of First Grantham United Church.
Mr. Simpson is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton where the familiy will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service to celebrate Edwards life will be held at First Grantham United Church , 415 Linwell Rd., on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
