Obituary of Hazel Lavoie

LAVOIE, Hazel - On Tuesday May 15, 2007 at her home in St. Catharines at 80 years of age. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Rene for 59 years. Loving mother of Larry and Hetty and Jim (Tracey 2005) of Fonthill. Dearly loved Gramma to Andrea and Kyle. Survived by her brother Russell Woods (Irene 1995) , and sister of Lorraine and her husband Mike Dowling. She was pre-deceased by her brother Leo (1994), sister Rhea Woods (1999) and brother-in-law Maurice Wile (2002). Hazel was also survived by her brother-in-law Adleard and Solange Lavoie, sisters-in-law Jennine and Aurel Dequanne and Pauline and Dick Meehan all from Chelmsford, Ont. Hazel will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbors for her kindness and generosity. To honor her wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Memorial remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Hazel's honour.
