Obituary of Tekla (Tena) Osadec

Osadec, Tekla (Tena) - On Thursday May 17, 2007 at the Linhaven Home for the Aged, died peacfully in her 94th year. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1999) of 60 years. Lovingly cherished by her children Emily Pelletier, Donald and his wife Elizabeth. Devoted Grandma to Maria-Lynn and husband Deacon Tibor Turi, Catharine and husband Paul Franchuk. Great-grandmother of Noah and Joshua Franchuk, Tobias and Sophia Turi. Survived by her sister Mary and brother Michael, many close family members and friends. Predeceased by her great grand-daughter Chloe Franchuk and 3 brothers. Tena was a life member of the St. John Ambulance Nursing Division and an active member of the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church. Mrs. Osadec is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street until 9:30am on Tuesday. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10am in the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church, 91 Lakeshore Rd. Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Panachyda will be said in the funeral home on Monday at 7:30pm. Rite of Committal will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church Fund in Tena's honour.
