Dear Paul, Jennifer, Mrs. Suntz and family
Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father, husband and grandfather. We remember sitting with him and Mrs. Suntz at Phil and Cathy's wedding (Jen's brother) and he made the whole evening enjoyable with his humour, wit and endless picture taking. He made us feel as if we were friends forever.
Keep memories of him in your heart and minds, as this is what will help you get through the days ahead.
We shall keep you all in our prayers.
John and Lesley Romano

Dear Herta and Family,
Carol and I were very saddened to hear of Ralph's passing.I remember meeting Ralph for the first time when we worked in Hamilton, Ralph at the East End branch and me at the Main branch in the late 1950's. Over the years our paths crossed many times-in 1965 in Windsor when Ralph was appointed Manager and Carol and I had him over to our apartment for dinner until he could relocate yourself and Barbara to Windsor. His move to Ottawa and ultimately St Catharines. At his retirement party, I vividly remember Ralph saying to me how much he was looking forward to spending his retirement with you and the family.
It is a privilege to remember Ralph as a good friend both professionally and personally Carol and I are distressed that we will be in Vancouver visiting our daughter and her family and will be unable to attend Ralph's memorial service but our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Herta and Family
Cathy and I were greatly saddened to learn of Ralph's pre-mature death. We shall always remember his easy-going compassionate nature and his great sense of humor. We fondly remember the kindness you both extended us as we followed Ralph to Windsor and subsequently, Ottawa.

Herta, Barbara, Paul and Ralphy Boy
I had the pleasure of meeting Ralph senior at Ralph and Christine's wedding and when joining with the group using Herta and Ralph's basement as a stop over before the Buffalo football games. What an impression he leaves! Easy to see from meeting Herta and Ralph where Ralph junior gets his easy going personality from. (Still not sure were Junior gets the funny laugh from!)
Ralph Senior obviously had his priorities strait. Family and Friends First! I am glad to have had a chance to meet him and I am saddened by his passing.
Our thoughts are with you

Dear Herta and family
It has been over a week since Irma informed me about Ralph's passing. Thanks to Steve I have met so many special people, including several in the Dance Group. Your friendly welcome when I first came back to the city was /is much appreciated..As you may have seen at Trachtenfest, my son Paul has become a Schuplattler and also 'loves it'.
Now you will be alone on life's journey Herta...you alone knew this man in every possible way after so many years together.and I pray that this part of his spirit will always remain within you. Yes, as I have heard others comment....his was a great sense of humour! Memories will come even stronger as time goes by...Be strong and appreciate your good friends !
Sincere Sympathy- Winnie Ruf
