Obituary of Agostino Mario Riganelli

RIGANELLI, MARIO (AGOSTINO) Passed away peacefully, on Tuesday evening, May 29, 2007 at the Henderson Hospital, at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Savina, for 50 years. Loving father of Cathy (Luciano) Cappelli, Paul (Autumn Watson) Riganelli, Carla (Charlie) Bufalino and Frank Riganelli. Cherished nonno of Daniel, Christopher, Mara, Deana, Christie, Elora, Rebecca, Devon, Mitchell and Dante. Dear brother of Rita and the late Joe Patrick, Antonina and the late Silvio Bisci, Nicola and Marisa Riganelli, Ida and the late Nazzareno Riganelli, Gino and Lucy Riganelli. Dear brother in law of Maria Pia and Osvaldo Stroppa and the late Celestina and Giacinto Cinti, father in law of Anne Riganelli. Mario will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Italy and Canada. Mario retired 20 years ago from Riganelli's Bakery, which he and his brothers owned and operated since 1957.Mario was an active member of St. Alfred's Parish, Club Roma Past President, President of the Associazione Nazionale Italiana Combattenti E Reduci (Penisola del Niagara), Honourary member of National Congress of Italo - Canadians, member of St Vincent de Paul Society, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. Mario's life exemplified his passion for the Italian Community and the Catholic faith. Mr. Riganelli is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Saturday at 9 am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 9:30am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on pm. Memorial remembrances to Catholic Missions in Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Your guidance, patience and love will be missed Dad, by all of us.
