Dear Beloved family members of Kathy, as Shirley's husband, I share your deep sorrow at the loss of someone who is so special in our lives. Despite her numerous challenges, Kathy gave all she could to be a good Christian mom, daughter, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend.
With you, I also celebrate her life and rest in the assurance of the hope we receive in our Lord Jesus Christ. We can look forward to the day when we will rejoice with her in the presence of the Lord for all eternity!
May God Bless each of you with His peace and comfort.

Hearing of Kathys'passing brought back to mind so many good memories for me. I was her attendant from the March of Dimes for a number of years(8 years ago) and we had many good talks. Kathy loved her boys and wanted all the best for them-at one point she even had her bed moved into the living room so that she would be even more apart of her family! She had a wonderfull smile, a warm hug and a huge sweet tooth and I will remember her always. Very Sincerely, Rose

Dear Todd and Kyle- although you will probably not remember me, I will always remember your mom. I worked with her in the early 80's at the Children's Village in St. Agatha for 2 years while she was the housemother for 8 disturbed children. Kathy almost single handedly transformed our cottage into a real home, expecting the kids to live up to high standards and making a truly loving family. I was one of the Child Care Workers. I so enjoyed working with Kathy- somehow we made a great team and had some very memorable times. One night, the kids were so antsy that they couldn't fall asleep, so Kathy sent them out to run around the field a few times, to run off extra steam in the dark. She was often innovative and was the glue that kept the family working well. The last time I saw Kathy before eventually losing touch after she moved, I stayed with you all for a few days. I remember that Kyle was about 5 or 6 and Todd was about 9. I made a deal with Todd that every day we could throw the ball 100 times, and so we did. Kyle was our expert out field back catcher chasing stray balls. Kathy was always there watching and wanting to be involved however she could. Kathy was a woman full of love and striking integrity under the most difficult of circumstances. I have to say that she profoundly affected me because of her openness and honesty and her ability to live her life in accordance to her true heart. I will miss her greatly, and the world will not be able to fill the hole she has left, but I will always carry the memories I have of her and the 2 little boys she so loved. She was a big presence.
I happened to be in Hamilton today and decided to see if I could find my long lost friend, and found her number only to find that she had just died a few weeks ago. My heart is with you both - I too am incredibly sad. But I know that she will find many ways to come back to each of us.
