Obituary of Anna Carmine Memme

MEMME, Anna Carmina Passed away peacefully at St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on June 19, 2007. Loving wife of 65 years to Carmine Memme. Devoted and much loved mother of Frank and Shirley Memme, Pauline and the late Eusebio (1975) Memme, Mary Basciano and the late Nicola (2001), Lou and Deborah Memme, and Ida Memme. Admired mother in law of Beverley Barber. Nonna was a great role model and cherished by her 10 grandchildren: Michael (Leslie), Tanya, Jeremy, Dean, Christopher, Mark (Angela), Michelle (Martin), Ryan (Lori), Stephen and Sarah (Trevor). Dearly loved Great Nonna of Matthew, Alexander, Michaela, Markus, Nicole, Julian, Luca, Kaitlin and Michael. Also survived by her sisters, brothers and many nieces and nephews residing in St. Catharines, Toronto and Italy. Mom came to Canada from Rocca San Giovanni, Italy in 1956. She was admired by her many friends and she was always ready to give support and a helping hand. Anna's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, June 20th from 1-4pm and 6:30-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21st at St. Alfred's Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street , St. Catharines at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers for Anna on Wednesday at 3pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Brain Injury Community Re-Entry or Wellspring Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
