Obituary of Mary Louise Young

Young, Mary Louise Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Versa Care Home in her 83rd year. Wife of the late Howard in 1986, predeceased by her son David in 1991, loving mother of Catharine (the late Douglas) Scarbro, Shelia (Frank) Matthews, Francis (Debbie) Young, Mary Margaret (Wayne) Gregory, dear grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, predeceased by brothers Frank Berry, Jim and George Everitt. Will be lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Young was a lifetime member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, member of Catholic Women's League for 60 years, Volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul Store for 21 years and Extendicare Nursing Home for 25 years. A proud member of the Loyal Order of the Women of the Moose for 66 years. Mrs. Young is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Mary of the Assumption Church at 11 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting Hours Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Loyal Order of Moose service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Vigil Prayers for Mary will be celebrated in the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m. Memorial Remembrances can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Association.
