Obituary of Mabel Marie Giff

Giff, Mabel (Packwood)- With great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother. Mabel passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2007, in her 93rd year. She was predeceased by her loving husbands Ken Giff (1987), and Aurthur Packwood (1968). Sandra (1945), parents John and Mary Cadeau and Stepmother Clair Cadeau. Brothers Alphonse (Rose), Clarence (Marj). Sister Levina Hughes and Many Cherished friends. Mabel is survived by daughters Loraine (Bill) Corsaro and Joyce Packwood. Grandchildren Julie (Brad) Weiss, Jimmy Glenfield and Christine Corsaro, and 2 great-grand children. Brothers, Willard (Hazel) and Garfield (Mary) Cadeau. Sisters Leona (late Manley), Shirley (Howard) Cadeau, and several nieces and nephews. We would also like to acknowledge Community Care (Kim Lively), and Pro-Wellness Health Services (Ildiko, Marilyn, Patti and Jeannine), and Hair-dresser and friend Shellie for their many kindnesses. Mabel is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585, Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church at 11 a.m. with Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and on Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will take place Thursday at 7 pm. in the funeral home. If so desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
