Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Ian, particularly at such a young age. We went to high school together at Aldershot High School in Burlington. I have many good memories of Ian--lots of fun times and laughter. Hopefully the many memories you have of Ian are good and will help you through this troubling time. Again, my sympathies. I was a colleague of Ian's at NuComm. Ian spoke with me just over a week ago about his problems, but he had advised me that he was upset over his recent personal life, but seemed to have everything under control.
In the short time Ian was with us at NuComm everyone liked Ian. He was a great guy, a gentle man, a gentleman, so friendly, and very well liked. I have been bothered by the rumours all day over his death.
I will miss him so much and think of him often. He is sorely missed.
My condolences to the family. He was a beautiful person.

Scott, Adam, Colin, and family:
I remember Ian/your Dad as a neighbour on Horton Avenue, as a fellow-parent of Jordan Public School kids, and a fellow-hockey dad. Each remembrance is very positive. He gave his best effort, and great enthusiasm, in each area. I am particularly grateful for the countless hours he gave to the Jordan Lions Minor Hockey Association.
I am greatly saddened to hear of your great loss. May you be comforted by your heavenly Father in the coming days. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincere regards,
Wayne Montgomery

I would like to send my condolences to the Cherry family at this difficult time. I knew Mr. Cherry through Jordan Minor Hockey, as I coached both Scott and Adam. He was a loving father and a well known and respected figure in the community. I am sorry for your loss and hope that you can all find the strength to pull through this difficult time.

Dear Jay and David:
We were away unfortunately and have just learned of Ian's death to-night.
I was touched by so many wonderful messages posted here as tributes to Ian.
Life dealt him many blows over the years, yet people remember
Ian's courage,warmth,caring,.... and that grin!
His pride and joy were his sons. They will be his legacy.
It is a huge void in your lives at present.
With striving to give each other comfort and strength to carry the present pain, maybe soon you will be able to recall all the good times you had with your brother and help the boys to remember what a great father he was.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both at this extremely difficult time.
Affectionately
Gail and John
