Obituary of Alexander Bradley Saunders
SAUNDERS, Alexander Bradley-Peacefully, after a brief illness, on Monday, February 21st in St. Catharines in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Lilian (Bunny). Loving father of Bud (Terri) of Penetanguishene, Bob (Cathy) of Windsor, Jamie (Janet) of St. Catharines, and the late Jane. He will be dearly missed by grandchildren Greg, Kathy, Jennifer, Christine , Alex and Ryan; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Maggie and Mitchell; sisters Bernice Besson and Margaret Meeke; and by special friend Mary D'Amelio. Alex served with distinction in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War 2. As a long-serving and proud member of the St. Catharines Rotary Club, Alex's service was recognized with a Paul Harris Fellowship. Cremation has taken place. A Service to Celebrate Alex's life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street in St. Catharines on Friday, February 25th at 12p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Extendicare St. Catharines.
