Obituary of Earl Calvin Hilson
Hilson, Earl Calvin (Bud)At the Henley House, St. Catharines on Tuesday July 31, 2007 in his 75th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Theresa and loving father of Sue (Denis) McNulty of St. Catharines and Lynn (Ian) Anderson of Burlington. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Nikki (Brennan) Warnick, Brandon (Molly) McNulty, Steven McNulty, Amber, Stephanie, Kevin, and Sarah Anderson and great-granddaughters Emma and Ryann. Dear brother of Judy (Stan) Ayres of Wainfleet and Janie Hilson- Reichelt of Port Colborne. Cousin and best friend of Jack Hilson of U.S.A.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Calvin and Jane Hilson, sister June, brother-in-law Gil Dressel, nephew Bill Dressel and his son Gilbert. Bud worked as a Senior Financial Administrator for General Motors for 37 years retiring in January of 1988. He was treasurer of the St. Catharines Boy Scouts for many years. He enjoyed being with his family first at the cottage then enjoying golfing, fishing and card playing with Club 31. Bud's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME 585 Carlton Street on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Liturgy will be held St. Denis Church 230 Lake Street St. Catharines on Saturday August 4, 2007 at 11 am.. Cremation to follow. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home Friday at 3 pm. If desired memorial donations may be made to Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation.
