Obituary of Roy Akiyoshi Nagami

Nagami, Roy (Akiyoshi)It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Roy Nagami on February 16, 2011, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband for 54 yrs of Sharon. Loving father of Diane Coverdale (Doug) and Brenda Janzen (Terry). Cherished Jichan of Chadd and Cori Janzen. He will be missed by his 5 younger siblings. Born in Vancouver, Roy & his family moved to Quebec and soon after moved to Ontario where he met his wife Sharon. Roy worked at the Port Weller Dry Docks but later retired with Foster Wheeler. Roy had many hobbies, cribbage, bonsai & award winning duck carver. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Saturday Feb 19 from 11:30 - 1:30. A service will be held in the chapel followed by burial in Christ Church McNab Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the staff of St. Catharines Place for all their loving care and support.
