Obituary of Joseph Bruno Lamarra
LAMARRA, JOSEPH (Bruno) Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2005, at the Hotel Dieu NHS, at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Margaret for 53 years. loving father of Mary Jo (Dave) Propper, Ralph (Lisa), Irene (Larry) Wormald. Cherished grandpa of Matthew, Thomas, Joseph, Carly, Robert and Taylor. Dear brother of Ralph (Millie) Lamarra and Tommy Lamarra. Uncle Bruno will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and family abroad. Predeceased by his infant son William.
Joe was employed as a supervisor with General Motors for over 30 years. He served in WW11 with the R.A.F. He was a member of the Port Dalhousie Legion Branch #350 and a very active member of Star of the Sea Church. He loved his bowling and card games. His endless sense of humour will always be remembered.
Joe is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Thursday at 10:30am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church at 11:00am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to the Alzeimer's Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
