Obituary of Joan Blay

Blay, Joan G (nee Burgess) - On September 20, 2005 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake -NHS in her 75th year with her loving family at her side. Loving wife to Don for almost 55 years. A caring mother to Nancy Cervantes (Luis) of Scarborough, Kenneth of Thorold, Kathryn of St. Catharines and Christopher (Wanda) of St. Catharines. Cherished grandmother/Nana to Andrew, Carolyn, Steven, Nicholas, Zachary and Megan. Survived by her two brothers Ken and John and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dr. John Schultz and Dr. Marion Frendo and the staff at the Niagara-on-the-Lake - NHS for their care and compassion. Joan is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 22, 2005 between 2-4 and 7-9pm. A celebration of life will take place on Friday September 23, 2005 at the George Darte Funeral Chapel at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the Children's Wish Foundation or Help a Child Smile.
