Obituary of Marta Rzepka
RZEPKA, Marta
Passed away peacefully on October 10, 2005 at The Versa Care Centre in her 100th year.
Marta was born on October 24, 1905 in Brzeziny Slaskie, Poland. Separated from her husband by World War II, Marta and her son George were reunited with her husband by the International Red Cross. They arrived in Canada to join Pawel in 1958. She was a member of the O.L.P.H. church for 48 years and a member of the Ladies Rosary Society.
She is predeceased by her husband Pawel (1978), sons-in-law Jan Krol and Jozef Tomala and daughter-in-law Helen Rzepka and all her siblings.
She is survived by daughters Helena Krol and Regina Tomala of Poland, and son George Rzepka of Grimsby. Loving Babcia of grandchildren Barbara Tomlinson of Hamilton, Joanne Juras of Beamsville, Valerie Rzepka of Toronto, as well as, Jacek Tomala and Gabriela Zieba of Poland. Beloved Pra-Babcia of 6 great-grandchildren.
Marta's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, October 13th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Friday, October, 14th from 7-9pm. Rosary will be said at the funeral home on Friday evening at 8pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Church on Saturday, October 15th at 11am with burial following at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Versa Care Centre or the International Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
