Obituary of Jaroslaw Hudyma
HUDYMA JAROSLAW It is with sadness that the family of Jaroslaw Hudyma announces that he passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 22, 2005, in his 83rd year. Predeceased by his wife Sheila. Survived by his daughters Susan and husband Keith Holberry, Linda and husband Jon Litowchuk; grandchildren Michael, Jonathan, and Taras all of England. Also survived by wife Anastasia (Chytra-Hudyma), her children Nestor, Zenon, Julia and grandchildren Lesia, Halia, Olena, Laura, Tia and Alexa. A sister, Ewhenia, in Ukraine, also survives him. Jaroslaw was born in Ukraine, and immigrated to England in 1948, where he worked and raised his family. He was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, League of Ukrainian Canadians, Myrhorod, Ukrainian Seniors Organization, Homin Choir of England and Association of Ukrainians in Great Britian. He will be missed by his family and friends both in England and Canada for his warm smile and gentle manner.
Jaroslaw is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUERNAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Panachyda will be celebrated in the funeral home on Friday at 7pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at 9:30am on Saturday. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sts Cyril and Methodius Building Fund, Children of Chernobyl or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
