Obituary of Robert (Bob) Long

Long, Robert (Bob) - On February 8, 2006 died peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a battle with cancer since May. Beloved husband to Gayle for over 39 years. Loving father to Robert Jr. and Sherry Keely (Todd). Devoted grandpy to Jade, Mackenzie, Dakota and Johnathan and also his step-grandchildren Karleigh, Jessica and Tyler. Survived by his brother David (Adele) and his sisters Anna Hart (Ron) and Fern Halliday (Billy) and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by his parents George and Pearl and his daughter Tammy (1975). Bob' s work career involved managing Bramelea City Centre, Monarch, Orlando Corp. and O & Y Enterprise. Bob is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. Visitation will begin on Thursday February 9, 2006 from 7-9pm and Friday February 10, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday February 10, 2006 at 10:30am in the George Darte Funeral Chapel in St. Catharines. Interment will follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations in Bob's honour may be made to the Credit Valley Palliative Care Unit.
