Obituary of Catharine Mikitzel

MIKITZEL, CATHARINE On Friday February 10th, 2006 at Cama Woodlands Nursing Home in Burlington, at 104 years of age. Beloved wife of the late William Mikitzel. Loving mother of John and wife Sharon of Burlington and their children Adam and Ashley. Dear mother in law of Marion and her children, Paulanne (Tony) Madalloni, Yvonne (Roman) Spera and Loretta (Robert) Gareau, cherished great baba of 5 great grandchildren. Catharine was predeceased by her son Walter. Mrs. Mikitzel was a member of St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Thorold and St John Ukrainian Catholic Church. She was a long time resident of Thorold and St. Cahtarines and an active member of the women's church group and church chiors. Mrs. Mikitzel is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Monday at 9:30am. Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated in St. John Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 8pm. Visiting hours are Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial remembrances to St. Johns Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
