As a great-grandchild of Marie, I know how much she will be missed. I have realized just how many people she has touched in her life, as she is survived by many grand children,great-grand children, and children of her own. On this day, I wish to cast out my condolences for the whole family and wish that on this day,we remember Great-Grandma Doucette.
Love;
Great-Grandchild

Marie Barbara Doucette was my "ya ya Grandma!" She was also my Godmother. I loved her very much, but I know she lived a long and wonderful life and has gone somewhere where she will no longer hurt or be sick or worry. She'll be able to watch over all of us now and that's a comfort for me. I hope everyone is going to celebrate her long life! I know I am.....
Love you Grandma xoxoxoxoxo

I have many special memories of my grandmother also known as the 'Pied Piper'. She entertained us with the squeeze box, mouth organ and the things she said or did. There are aspects of my life that are a reflection of those that she enjoyed. She was a wonderful Lady who touched many. I smile or chuckle when I think of her. My condolences to all of her family. Love You Gramma. Joanne and family

I want to say that I am very sad over the passing of "The Greatest Lady" in our family. She will always be close to my heart as I was named after her and of all the people that I have missed over the years, I have missed her the most and always told her so. I used to call her every couple of weeks, until she couldn't hear me, and then I stopped. I have a great love for older people in my life today and I know that it is because of her that I took one under my wing. The last time we were together we had many laughs, and a glass of wine together.We were trying to teach her how to make faces, and spent more time laughing than anything. Some of my fondest memories of Gramma are every Christmas Eve, going there and having meat pie, seeing all my relatives for a visit.I talk about those times still after 28 years of being in Alberta. I have saved the letters that she used to write me because I knew this day would come. I will be forever changed because of her and I sure hope that we all do her memory proud, and be the family she wants us to be. Love To All See you soon Love Barbie

My deepest sympathy to all the family. I did not know Marie personally but had met her sons Seymour and Jim at high school and through a daughter-in-law. I know the feeling of loss when you lose a Mother and Grandmother that you love so dearly.

I remember going to grandma's on Sunday's when I was a kid with my dad Sid, for grandma's roast beef and pinwheel cookies or whatever sweet treat she just happened to bake up. I remember that every time I saw her she was knitting mitts for kids at Christmas. Sorry, I couldn't be there but I'm thinking of everyone.
Love you Grandma.
