Obituary of Palle Mellbye-Hansen

Mellbye- Hansen, Palle (Paul) - On Sunday March 26, 2006 at the St. Catharines General Hospital - NHS with his loving family by his side in his 67th year. Loving husband to Donna Menzies for over 30 years. Survived by his brother Preben in Coppenhagen, Denmark. Also survived by his mother-in-law Isobel Menzies, sisters-in-law Diane Wittig (Bill), Marina Scourse (Les) of Napanee, Nancy Lauro (Gene) of St. Catharines, brother-in-law Robert Menzies (Lindy) of St.Catharines and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Verner and Astrid and father-in-law Donald. A special thanks go to Donna's sisters for their love and devotion towards Paul and the nurses in the ICU Unit at the St.Catharines General Hospital for their compassion and support. At Paul's request, cremation has taken place. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday March 30, 2006 between 2-4 and 7-9pm at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St. A celebration of Paul's life will take place on Friday March 31, 2006 at 10am in the George Darte Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow the service at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens in Fonthill. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to either the Kidney Association, Lung Association or Charity of Choice.
