Tony & Charlene and myself and my late husband Tony (Deceased June 12, 2002 and still greatly missed) had so many great times together and needless to say all the fun and crazy things that went along with all of it.
Charlene and I met when they moved to Hamilton for a short time. Todd was just a baby of about 6 months old at the time. Tracey was still very young when they left Hamilton to go back to St. Catharines. That was a long time ago, but we always kept very much in touch. It would have been odd if more than a week went by that we didn't speak to one another, but very sad to say it has been almost 2 weeks this time. We were trying to arrange an evening of some poker and they were going to pick up Tracey's birthday gift that I have for her.
I am very, very sad at this time. Not only will I not have Charlene to talk to, but I also think of her immediate family. They will miss her very much.
Charlene is the only friend that I have kept in contact with for such a long period of time. Perhaps that better explains why I will miss her so.
Charl, don't let Mr. Katzenblotter get to you too much. You can handle him.
Good-night my friend, with all my love.
Loretta

Dear Grandma,
You always made me happy when I was around you. You would always think of others before yourself. Your smile always made me feel warm. I had so many fun times with you. So many memories I will have forever. I will remember all the great times we had together. I love you very much.
Love Tyler

Tony and Family
I have only known Charlene for a few years however I can say that in that short time I came to know someone who I consider to a "truly good" person. Her quick smile and her genuine, good natured concern for others is something I will always remember about Charlene. She was always ready to help anyone who she thought needed help and to say something kind and considerate. Having a serious heart condition did not stop Charlene from doing anything she could to help others and to be there for them. She was a "special" friend to my nephew Ralph and he and all of us will miss her at his birthday get togethers. Charlene always found the time to share his birthday with him and it meant so much to all of us. She also was brave enough to come to my home for my sister and Rosanne's birthdays and she took all of our outrageous behaviour in stride. Charlene is a very special person who we were fortunate to have shared time with. There are few people who can measure up to to this fine lady. Tony you were the most devoted and caring husband and Charlene knew it. During one of our last conversations she told me how much she depends on you and that you never let her down. There is no question how much you two loved each other. Beside you Tony her children and grandchildren were the most important thing to her and my heart goes out to each one of them because I know they will miss her terribly and so will Bill and I. My most sincerest condolences Linda

My Grandma
Grandma always loved to feed us when we went over to her house. I especially loved her meatballs and pork tenderloin. She spoiled us rotten and always remembered every special occasion with gifts for her Grandkids. I love her very much and will miss her alot. I love you Grandma.

My grandma had to be one of the sweetest people I have ever known, she was always there for everyone else even when she was sick and needy herself. We all loved her very much, but at least we can know she is in a better place now. She wouldn't want us to mourn her death but to celebrate her life and to remember the good times.

My Wonderful Grandma
I love you so much, Grandma. You are an amazing lady. You made every holiday and occasion so special. I loved going to your house because you made everything so wonderful with the warmth of your smile. Your smile must be even bigger now because you are in a better place. I know I will see you again one day, but until then, I will miss you so much Grandma. I love you.

Beautiful Smile
I have known the Langelaan family since I was small. They lived very close to the home I grew up in and Mike and I were friends since high school.
Charlene had such a wonderful heart. She was so kind and always wore a smile. I used to go to her house and cut her hair for her, this was quite a few years back, but I always remember her with a smile and something nice to say. She will be greatly missed!
My condolences to the family.

So sad to hear of the passing of Charlene. Charlene was a true inspiration to me. The courage she demonstrated after her health declined was remarkable, her unconditional love and devotion to her family and friends could always be felt and her kind gentle nature was ever present. We feel fortunate to have shared a bond with this special lady and we are comforted to know her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. We hold dearly the memories of her visit to London this fall and our recent visit to St.Catharines. We send our deepest condolences.
Love, Kevin, Jill Brendan, Thomas, Kyle and Charlie
