Obituary of Helen Mary Ludwa

Ludwa, Helen Mary - On Sunday January 23, 2011 at Eventide Home in Niagara Falls in her 104th year. Beloved wife of the late Michael (1971). Dear mother of Gerald and Enith of New York, and Walter of Montreal , grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. and 1 great great great grandchild. Predeceased by her daughter Eva of Montreal, sons John and Stanley. Mrs. Ludwa came from Poland in 1927 to Montreal before moving to St. Catharines in 1960 with her husband Mike. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Auxilliary Branch #418. Mrs. Ludwa is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Wednesday Jan 26, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. Rite of committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday Jan 25, 2011 from 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be celebrated in the funeral home on at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. Memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
