I was searching for Dan Street. An old friend from the 70's. I was shocked to find this. I knew Trudy as well. I'd like to reach out and pay my condolences to Trudy and his son . We worked at Lynwood Hall Children's Centre in Hamilton. A great guy. We had a great friendship but shortly lived as we travelled our separate paths. I've thought of Dan several times over the last 35 years. We had the same sense of humour. I will never forget him. Trudy I'm so sorry. All the best Christopher. I remember when you were born. I think Jayne and I came to your house in St. Catherine's just after. I remember laughing with Dan continuously. Brian and Jayne North

Dear Trudy and Chris,
At this sad time, I wanted to send along my sincere sympathy on the passing of Dan. I came to know Dan when I was working in the LRT room at Senator Gibson in Beamsville. We always looked forward to his visits, and we had a lot of laughs, and good times when he came to our school. Dan was well respected, and we always had confidence that he would deal with our students in the very best of ways. He had a way of putting students at ease as they approached intimidating assessment times.
My thoughts are with you at this very difficult time.
Very sincerely,
Shirley Dawson

It is with great sadness that I read of Dan's passing.
Dan was a wonderful man who brightened my day many times. His teasing, his jokes and wonderful smile were always welcome in my office at Central School. Dan even knew how I took my coffee and many times a large Tim's would appear on my desk and I would then know that Dan was lurking somewhere near:)
Dan was a professional that many loved and respected. I not only knew him as a fellow employee of DSBN but also as a parent of a student who benefited from Dan's help. Thanks Dan!
My condolances to Dan's family - actually Dan spoke to me of his family and was so proud! I enjoyed hearing about his son's adventures overseas and how Dan was so interested and planned to visit him there.
Dan was a blessing to many and it is my prayer that the cherished memories you have of Dan, a wonderful husband and father, will bless you in the days to come. I too, pray God's comfort and blessing upon you at this sad time.

As principal at Carleton and Lakeview Schools I had the pleaseure of working with Dan. I always enjoyed his dry wit. In late May of last year Dan joined region 3 folks at our staff appreciation event at Balls Falls. He had a great time and joined a gang from Lakeview who moved on to Cat's, then the Schnitzel Haouse Tavern for Karaoke. My best memory of Dan that night was his solo of ABBA's "Dancing Queen". Oh, what a night!
I regret I was unable to join you to celebrate Dan's life. I offer my sincere sympathy for your loss.

Trudy and Chris:
We are saddened by your loss. Having gone through the loss of loved ones in our own lives, we understand that words alone cannot remove the pain. Working with "Dapper Dan" was an experience in wit and humour. We know that many lives of children have been changed for the better because of his sincere dedication. His wisdom touched us all. The Hero of this book of Life has left us, only to return in a new and edited edition. We'll miss this Hero.

If this works, then I know that there has been divine intervention. My son, William found a penny today by my car and yelled "Look mom, a penny from heaven." I thought of you, Danno. I hope that Trudy and Chris find many pennies from heaven, too.
