Maksymic, Mary Peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2005 at Tufford Nursing Home in her 97th year. Loving mother of Jean (Walter) Luciw of St. Catharines. Dear baba of Mark (Melanie) Luciw of Pelham, Christine (Ross) Davidson of Stoney Creek. Pra-baba of Nicholas and Sarah Luciw. Mary was born in Stoyaniw, Ukraine on April 7, 1909, coming to Canada and settling in Prince Albert, Sask. in 1927 and on to St. Catharines in 1939. Mary's family will receive relatives and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Divine Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2005 in St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial remembrances made to St. John's Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund or the Charity of One's Choice would be appreciated by her family.
