Obituary of Eleanor Katona
KATONA ELEANOR On Wednesday June 1, 2005 at her residence, at 86 years of age. Loving mother of Donald (Cathy) of St. Catharines, Greg (Jane) of Dartmouth NS and mother in law of Margaret of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Eleanor is survived by her sisters Margaret Silcock of Waterloo, Betty (Bill) Cavanaugh of Burlington, Helene Ryan of Windsor and Patricia (Walter) Speagle of Burlington. Eleanor will nbe lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Louis Katona, and her first husband Jack MacKenzie, her son Ewen MacKenzie, her daughter Jacquiline Weight, her sister Claire Trudel and her brother Gregory Quarry.
Mrs. Katona is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. where a service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday at 1:00pm. Cremation to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Memorial remembrances to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
