Obituary of Alice Stephany Kalas

KALAS ALICE Peacefully, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday July 12, 2005 at 79 years of age. Wife of the late Mike Kalas. Mom, an angel in heaven who gave and loved so much will be deeply missed by her daughter Mary Selman, who cared for her, her sons John (Julie)Kalas and Ted Kalas. Babcia will live in the heart of her grandaughter Terri, and grandsons Adam (Amy), Omar (Angie), and Rick (Teresa) Basic. Specially loved Pra Babcia of Amanda Leslie, Rebecca, Joshua, Alicia, Noah, Emily, Joahna and Adam and her loving Shit Zhu Lucky. Dear sister of Stephany (Ted) Gierczak of St. Catharines, Ted (Madelene) Gabauer, Anna (Tony) Mowinski, Joe (Sherri) Gabauer and Christine and the late Joe Juraszek of Michigan. Chocha Ala will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews.Mrs. Kalas is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:00am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Friday at 10:30am. Rite of Committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30pm. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In Lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to express a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful caregivers, for your support, care and guidance of our Babcia, during her illness.
